Google Family Link allows parents to control the system permissions that each individual app on a child’s Android device has. That feature is not available in any other parental-control app we’ve reviewed. It also allows you to control which apps if any, your child can download from Google Play.
Although there is no iOS version of the Google Family Link child app, parents can monitor their children’s devices using either iOS or Android. In any case, we recommend Android for kids’ apps because the Android versions of all of these apps provide parents with much more insight and control.
If you’re seriously concerned with the apps your children use, Google Family Link might be all you need. And, if you want a more robust app, Google Family Link will complement one of the other options on this page.

Not all screen time is created equal. With activity reports that show how much time your child spends on their favourite apps, you can help them make healthy decisions about what they do on their Android device. You can view reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

You can approve or block apps your child wants to download from the Google Play Store using handy notifications. You can also remotely manage in-app purchases and hide specific apps on their device from your own device.
